From manufacturing to operation\, FTTH demonstrates superior sustainability across all metrics. \nKey findings include: \n\n60% lower embodied carbon: FTTH networks require significantly fewer resources to build.\n7% less installation carbon: FTTH deployment has a smaller carbon footprint.\nUp to 96% lower operational carbon: FTTH networks consume far less energy.\n18% less carbon from customer premise equipment: FTTH devices have a smaller environmental impact.\n\nWhile overbuilding an HFC network with fiber may initially increase carbon emissions\, the long-term benefits are substantial.
