SUMMARY:FBA Presents - Transitioning Your Fiber Infrastructure from Build to Run: Maximizing Efficiency with Field Service Management Software
DESCRIPTION:In the wake of the substantial infrastructure funding allocated by the Biden administration\, the telecommunications industry is experiencing a surge in fiber optic network expansion. Operators are rightfully focused on the critical task of building and constructing the necessary fiber infrastructure to meet growing connectivity demands. However\, it’s equally essential to look ahead at the long term – consider fiber drops\, end-customers’ requests and maintenance demands that will inevitably (and hopefully in the case of end-customers installs) arise once the fiber has been laid. \nThis is where our upcoming webinar comes into play. Join us as we explore the proactive approach of integrating advanced field service management software into your operations – from deployment all the way through to run phase. We’ll delve into how this technology can help telecom operators optimize efficiency from day one\, ensuring that maintenance and service demands are met seamlessly. Don’t miss this opportunity to stay ahead of the curve in the evolving landscape of fiber optic network management and maintenance from a field perspective. \nWebinar Speakers \nCédric Venard\, General Manager\, Praxedo North America \nCédric serves as the General Manager at Praxedo\, a SaaS solution for Field Service Management. With over 15 years of experience in software solutions for service teams\, Cédric leverages his expertise to guide companies with field technicians in their digital transformation journeys. SUMMARY:FFB Week 2 - Broadband First: Access to Fiber Internet Surpasses 50% of U.S. Households [New Research]
DESCRIPTION:Fiber-optic cables are the gold standard for broadband infrastructure. The backbone of the internet utilizes fiber\, and without it\, the internet as we know it today would not be possible. With their unparalleled data transmission speed and reliability\, the technology poised to become even more critical. They will not only cater to escalating data consumption but also enable innovations in artificial intelligence\, virtual reality\, and smart cities\, fundamentally reshaping our interaction with technology and each other. As such\, tracking fiber penetration across the U.S. broadband market provides valuable insights into technological adoption and accessibility. Tracking penetration is difficult\, however\, because data on adoption of specific technology types is often not publicly available. \nOur presentation highlights an innovative approach to address this gap. We have developed a machine learning algorithm capable of analyzing vast amounts of raw speed test data to identify which tests were conducted over fiber connections. This is based on the unique performance benchmarks of fiber technology. Preliminary results are promising\, showing an accuracy rate of approximately 95%. Join us as we uncover the potential of this technology in enhancing our understanding of broadband infrastructure’s evolution. \nGuest Presenter: Tyler Cooper\, Editor-In-Chief\, BroadbandNow \nTyler Cooper\, BroadbandNow’s Editor-in-Chief\, has over a decade of telecom experience and is a featured speaker at conferences like Net Inclusion 2020. His expertise spans digital inclusion\, municipal broadband\, telecom legislation\, emerging technologies\, and the societal impact of broadband. Internationally recognized\, Tyler’s work includes publications on VentureBeat\, TechRadar\, Digital Trends\, and The Next Web. He has been featured in VICE\, Fox News\, Voice of America\, and other outlets\, addressing broadband issues like the digital divide\, net neutrality\, cybersecurity\, and internet access since 2015. \n \n \n Register Now
