SUMMARY:FBA Presents - Digital Fielding & Design: Field to Finish Faster
DESCRIPTION:Great low-level designs require accurate base maps and utility pole data. We can’t design without them. If true\, why aren’t more service providers delivering accurate base maps? In most cases\, creating accurate base maps is time-consuming and complex\, leading to cutting corners on the foundation of any good design. Fortunately\, we’ve arrived at a point where remote sensing\, AI\, and other technologies have evolved to be significant contributors to producing high-quality\, cost-effective base maps\, including utility pole data. As a systems integrator\, Magnasoft has established the right balance of people\, processes\, and technology to quickly deliver cost-effective base maps and utility pole data. This webinar will focus on how to deliver on the mission of speedily and affordably producing great base maps and supporting a more efficient low-level design workflow. This webinar will benefit network operators and engineering services providers. Attendees will learn about the key components necessary to deliver great base maps using either a turn-key approach or complimenting your resources with the capabilities of a systems integrator like Magnasoft.\n\nPresented by:\n\n\nMike McGill\, Vice President\, Market Development\, Magnasoft\nArun Kumar\, Vice President\, Sales\, Magnasoft\n\n \n \n Register Now

SUMMARY:FFB Week 29 - Comparing Delivered vs. Perceived Network Performance
DESCRIPTION:Subscriber perception of service quality has new ramifications as the FCC has begun requiring internet service providers (ISPs) to publish “Consumer Broadband Labels” for each of their individual service tiers. Large ISPs began displaying them in April. By October\, all ISPs will be required to provide transparency through these labels that include pricing\, data caps\, bundling\, and “typical” network performance metrics. \nThe network performance being delivered to a subscriber’s address can be markedly different from what people living in that household actually experience. Concerns about last mile connectivity can extend to concerns about the last few feet. When there is not a direct wired connection\, aspects such as distance to the router\, signal interference\, equipment age\, and more can significantly degrade throughput and latency. \nIn this discussion\, we will cover the key differences in these measurements for regulatory compliance\, competitive intelligence\, and service validation. Customer perception will continue to be an essential factor in how subscribers value their service. Having third-party validation of the actual network performance being delivered to households can maximize the listed claims of “typical” performance on labels while proving consumer value\, reducing churn\, and offering protection from unjustified accusations. \nSpecial Guest: \n\n\n\n\n \nBryan Darr \nVP – Government Affairs \nOokla \n\n \n\n\n\n\n\n\n  \n \n \n Register Now
