WWZ Cuts Operating Costs in Half as it Partners With Calix to Build a Future-Proof Broadband Business
WWZ Energie AG, a Swiss quadruple-play cable broadband provider, will improve its business by partnering with Calix, Inc. WWZ says it will use the Calix Intelligent Access EDGE solution to complete a transition from coax-based DOCSIS to fiber. This will allow the company to provide high-speed symmetrical bandwidth and improved services to customers. Since launching its 10G-capable fiber-to-the-home network, WWZ has reduced its operating costs by 50%.
