8 Additional Corning Sites Achieve U.S. EPA Challenge for Industry Energy Goals
Corning announced that eight more of its global manufacturing plants have cut energy intensity by an average of 13.2%. That achievement meets or exceeds goals set by the Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) ENERGY STAR Challenge for Industry. Corning was able to lower energy intensity by improving manufacturing processes, facility design and maximizing energy efficiency. Corning now has 37 facilities around the world that meet or exceed EPA energy efficiency goals.
