German 1.5M FTTH Project To Be Built On Vitruvi NetBuild Construction Management Platform
After successfully completing a PoC evaluation in Q1 of 2021, Glasfaser NordWest is moving to a full-scale rollout of Vitruvi NetBuild. Formed as a joint venture between Telekom Deutschland GmbH (www.telekom.de) and EWE AG (www.ewe.com), the project will connect up to 1.5 million private households and companies in Northwest Germany with gigabit fiber optic connectivity and we are pleased to support construction operations on a digital construction management platform that is fully integrated with the client’s system of record.
All construction activities will be planned, scheduled, assigned, and completed on the Vitruvi platform, leveraging Vitruvi’s powerful mobile capabilities to automate the recording and transfer of as-built records, preparation of close-out packages, and the reconciliation of financials.
TKI (www.tki-chemnitz.de), our partner in Germany, realized the major part of this and carried out the implementation with Glasfaser NordWest. Further support is also provided by TKI.
Vitruvi CEO Bryan McIver states, “Managing the dynamic changes of local access and fiber drops are critical to the operational success of large scale fiber broadband projects. We are very pleased with the results of the Vitruvi NET Build PoC and are committed to the ongoing success of the program.”
