eX² Technology to Embark on Rural New Hampshire Broadband Project, Enabling Technological Advancement and More With High-Speed Internet Connectivity
Omaha, Neb. – Nov. 15, 2023 – eX² Technology, a Vivacity company and single source solution for those seeking to build, scale or upgrade their communications infrastructure, announces today they will commence construction on a fiber optic middle mile network in Grafton County, New Hampshire in Spring of 2024. The future deployment will enable reliable, high-speed internet access for community anchor institutions, businesses and residences.
eX² Technology will construct and deliver an over 200-mile fiber network infrastructure, connecting 24 underserved communities in Grafton County. This transformative open access network deployment will allow service providers to build last mile connections to homes and businesses and provide the region with connectivity to support applications required for remote learning, telehealth and more. The project will take two years to complete.
“We have been working closely with eX² Technology since 2021, and we’re thrilled to be partnering with their team of network infrastructure experts to deliver on such an impactful project,” said Julie Libby, County Administrator. “Launching the all-fiber network isn’t only cables and connectivity; it’s the conduit for economic growth, future connections to schools and businesses and empowering the opportunities that will define the future of Grafton County as we know it.”
The Grafton County Broadband Committee recommended and the Grafton County Commissioners selected eX² Technology for the design, build and maintenance of the fiber optic network project in 2021. Additionally, eX² Technology helped to secure federal funds through The National Telecommunications and Information Administration’s (NTIA) Enabling Middle Mile Broadband Infrastructure grant program, totaling $12 million in funding for the project. Grafton County is providing a $5 million match.
“At eX² Technology, we understand the critical importance of equal access to high-speed internet connectivity,” said Jay Jorgensen, Chief Operating Officer at eX² Technology. “We’re proud to have the opportunity to leverage our knowledge and expertise in network deployments alongside our commitment to fostering inclusive community growth through the advancement of technology.”
eX² Technology previously delivered a Hybrid Fiber to the Premise (FTTP) network architecture solution in the town of Bristol, N.H. in September 2021 as part of the Bristol Broadband Now project.
