Luck Grove Donates Over 200 Toys to Local Marine Corps Toys for Tots Foundation

Company executive Corin Zimmer delivers toys to local Syracuse chapter of Toys for Tots Foundation

SYRACUSE, NEW YORK | DECEMBER 15, 2023—Luck Grove, a leading network connectivity company in Syracuse, NY, delivered over 200 toys to 4th Light Armored Reconnaissance Battalion’s Echo Company who are collecting the toys for the local Syracuse chapter of the Marine Corps Toys for Tots Foundation. Employees donated half of the toys with the other half coming from the company. Mr. Corin Zimmer presented the donation to the organization on behalf of employees and the company.

The Marine Corps Toys for Tots Foundation was created in 1991 to assist the U.S. Marine Corps in providing a tangible sign of hope to economically disadvantaged children during the holiday season. It collects toys and financial donations nationwide and across the territories. During the 2022 holiday season, Toys for Tots had 833 local campaigns that collected 14,450,708 toys. Through monetary donations the foundation purchased another 9,937,884 toys and then distributed a total of 24,388,592 toys to 9,984,917 children.

“Toys for Tots is particularly meaningful to me because I received many of my prized childhood toys from generous donations to this foundation,” recalled Mr. Corin Zimmer, Luck Grove Senior Vice President of Business Development. “I was raised in a single-parent household so I know firsthand how these gifts can brighten a child’s world during this season of giving,” he added.

Continuing, Zimmer said, “I’m excited to have the opportunity to coordinate our team and company’s donation to Toys for Tots this year so I can pay forward the kindness I received as a child.”

Relating his own experience, Luck Grove CEO Vincent Cioci said, “Growing up with a widowed mother and seven siblings meant that my family relied heavily on Toys for Tots for holiday gifts.” Because he was 15 and the oldest child when his father passed, Cioci explained, he had a clearer view of the situation his mother was thrust into. “Without the donations from Toys for Tots, I wouldn’t have seen my younger siblings grow up smiling the way they did,” he added.

“I’m grateful to our employees for their response to this annual need and giving opportunity. Their care and compassion are touching. Both Corin and I assure them that their generosity will bring tremendous joy and excitement to many this holiday season,” Cioci concluded.
