Luck Grove Employees Make Sandwiches for Local Residents

CEO Vincent Cioci and employees serve Syracuse community residents in need

SYRACUSE, NEW YORK | MARCH 26, 2024—Employees of Luck Grove, a leading digital connectivity company headquartered in Syracuse, NY, made hundreds of sandwiches and served them to homeless individuals in Central New York in partnership with We Rise Above The Streets Recovery Outreach. Company CEO Vincent Cioci led the team of Luck Grove employees on Saturday, March 23rd for a day of impactful community service that saw an immediate result in their local community.

“This wasn’t just a standard team-building event for Luck Grove employees. On Saturday we saw the hardships some of our fellow community members are facing, and we had the opportunity to do something about it. Feeding those in need instilled in us a renewed sense of gratitude for what we have as well as a sense of responsibility to assist those who are struggling,” said Luck Grove CEO Vincent Cioci.

We Rise Above The Streets Recovery Outreach, a Syracuse-based non-profit organization founded by Al-amin Muhammad, aims to break the cycle of homelessness and criminality through high-energy messages and targeted support that encourage people to live up to their full potential. Its meals programs, food security assistance, and career placement services benefit those in need within the Syracuse community.

Ms. Becca Saya, a member of the Luck Grove Charity Committee, explained the panel’s choice to collaborate with We Rise Above. “We opted to partner with the organization for our quarterly Community Service Event due to its steadfast dedication to aiding homeless individuals in downtown Syracuse, along with its support for veterans, parents, and other individuals facing adversity.”

Ms. Becca Saya, a member of the Luck Grove Charity Committee noted that We Rise Above offers meals every Saturday near Luck Grove’s office. “This shows its care and compassion for those in need,” she added. “It also provides an opportunity for Luck Grove employees to serve others, making a positive difference in the lives of both and a beneficial impact in our community,” Saya concluded.

In 2024, Luck Grove’s Charity Committee was founded with the aim of involving employees in charitable endeavors, community service, and philanthropy. The committee orchestrates volunteer activities, coordinates donation campaigns, and allocates financial support to a different charity every quarter. Membership on the five-member Charity Committee entails peer nomination followed by voting, granting a one-year tenure to selected individuals.
