Burlington Telecom Continues Affordable Broadband
Government’s Affordable Connectivity Program Ends
Burlington, VT, June 25, 2024: The US Government’s Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP) providing broadband subsidies to low-income families ended May 31, 2024. Burlington Telecom’s Internet Assistance Program (IAP) will fill this gap in federal funding for its market areas. Burlington’s program was created to provide affordable fiber internet services to qualified customers and is available to former ACP participants. The IAP offers two speed choices to eligible customers:
• Basic 50MB/50MB internet connection, $9.95 a month.
• Enhanced 150MB/150MB internet connection for $24.95 a month.
Both packages include smart WiFi and free installation for a single outlet. Charges will apply if multiple outlets are requested.
Customers seeking to participate in Burlington’s IAP program must apply either in person or on-line. To qualify for the Internet Assistance Program:
• You must live in the Burlington Telecom service area.
• Have no outstanding debt with Burlington Telecom.
• Program applicant’s name must match the Burlington Telecom account name, except if applying through a child or dependent program.
• IAP cannot be combined with any other discount program.
• Check here to confirm eligibility
• All supporting documents must be dated within the past two months.
Burlington Telecom offers two ways in which interested households can apply:
• Households can send inquiries and start the process using our secure online form provided at https://www.burlingtontelecom.com/.

“Burlington Telecom is proud to continue its long-standing commitment to households experiencing financial challenges by providing a self-funded Internet Assistance Program.” said Mike Loucy, President and General Manager of Burlington Telecom. “This program is an extension of our existing City of Burlington EDU-NET offering. IAP is designed to keep our community connected and be approachable and applicant friendly.”
Each year, customers will be required to confirm their eligibility. This can be done by providing Burlington Telecom with their continued enrollment in a qualifying public assistance program in accordance with notifications sent to the billing address on file.
