Luck Grove Awarded Pro Patria by ESGR for Exceptional Support of Military Employees

CEO Vincent Cioci Accepts Award, Commits to Expanding Military-Connected Workforce

SYRACUSE, NEW YORK | AUGUST 26, 2024—Luck Grove, a leading telecommunications and utilities engineering and construction company headquartered in Syracuse, New York, has been honored with the Pro Patria Award by the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR). This prestigious award is the highest recognition given by the ESGR at the state level, presented annually to one employer in each state or territory that has demonstrated exceptional support to its Guard and Reserve employees.

The award was presented at a closed and intimate ceremony held at Syracuse University’s National Veterans Resource Center, attended by political and military leaders, including Onondaga County Executive Ryan McMahon and Brigadier General Michael W. Bank. Both leaders expressed their appreciation for Luck Grove and underscored the importance of supporting those who currently serve in the military. Brigadier General Bank commended the dedication of employers like Luck Grove, highlighting their crucial role in strengthening the nation’s defense by empowering their Guard and Reserve employees.

Vincent Cioci, CEO of Luck Grove, accepted the award on behalf of the company, expressing deep gratitude and humility. “Our nation’s strength is built on the sacrifices of the brave men and women who serve, ensuring our freedom,” said Cioci. “While approximately 6% of Americans have answered the call to serve, I am proud to say that 6% of Luck Grove’s workforce shares that same dedication. But we believe in doing more. Today, I stand before you with a deep commitment: by the end of 2025, we will increase that number to 10%. This isn’t just a goal—it’s a promise to honor the bravery of our service members by building a stronger, more inclusive team at Luck Grove.”

The Pro Patria Award is a testament to Luck Grove’s ongoing efforts to create a supportive and flexible environment for its employees who serve in the National Guard and Reserve. These efforts include leadership practices and policies that ensure employees can fulfill their military obligations without sacrificing their careers.
