TDS Telecom Holds Third Annual Week of Giving Campaign
“Supporting our TDS communities has never been more important,” said Drew Petersen, Senior Vice President of Corporate Affairs. “Whether showing this support through in-kind donations, financial assistance, or our associate’s philanthropic efforts, we hope this Week of Giving will inspire others to give back to their own communities throughout the holiday season.”
Today’s theme is Cyber/STEM Monday, in which TDS associates are championing STEM and educational programs across the country. Donations include:
· $5,000 to Southern Utah University’s STEM Center for Teaching and Learning in Cedar City, Utah.
· $4,500 to support STEM initiatives at Roosevelt High School in Johnstown, Colo.
· $3,000 to the Mesquite Works STEAM Center in Mesquite, Nev.
· $2,000 to fund new STEM lab equipment at Carson Middle School in Fort Carson, Colo.
· A donation of laptops to Breaking Chains Academy of Development in Nampa, Idaho.
· $2,000 to the Friends of the Brown County Library’s Give-A-Kid-A-Book campaign in Green Bay, Wis.
· $2,000 to the United Way of the Greater Chippewa Valley’s (Wis.) Digital Equity and Inclusion Initiative.
· $1,500 toward a new STEM room at the Janesville (Wis.) Boys and Girls Club.
· $1,500 to the Hussey Mayfield Memorial Library in Whitestown, Ind.
TDS Cares initiatives occur throughout the year and through the Be Good Citizens program, TDS provides associates with 16 hours of paid time off every year to volunteer at the 501c3 organization of their choice.
