Wilkesboro, NC – March 11, 2025 – RiverStreet is thrilled to announce the acquisition of Amelia Telephone Corporation and New Castle Telephone Company from TDS Telecom. This strategic move is part of our ongoing commitment to expanding our presence and providing enhanced services to our valued customers.

We are also proud to announce that as part of this acquisition, RiverStreet has acquired the New Castle market area from Citizens Cablevision, a subsidiary of Citizens Telephone Cooperative’s cable operations located in New Castle, VA. Headquartered in Floyd, VA, Citizens Telephone Cooperative is a respected local provider, and this acquisition expands our reach within Virginia, reinforcing our dedication to high-quality service and improved connectivity for our new customers in Craig County.

The acquisition of Amelia Telephone Corporation, New Castle Telephone Company, and the New Castle market of Citizens Cablevision represents a significant milestone for RiverStreet and aligns with our long-term growth strategy.
