Strengthening Alabama: Brightspeed Advances Fiber Connectivity and Makes Community Investments
As the company helps bridge the digital divide, it’s strengthening communities through local initiatives

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — August 26, 2025 — Brightspeed, the nation’s third-largest fiber broadband builder, is connecting thousands of homes and businesses to its state-of-the-art, high-speed fiber network across Alabama. Now, roughly 102,000 families and businesses across the state have access to the country’s fastest internet service, as determined by HighSpeedInternet.com’s 2025 Annual Service Provider Review.

“At our core, we believe the internet is more than just technology – it’s a bridge that brings people closer together,” said Lymari Muñoz, Brightspeed local marketing manager. “By providing access and supporting local initiatives, we want to unlock opportunities and build stronger connections within the communities we serve. We are making the investments that empower the communities we serve.”

Investing in Communities Where We Live and Work

In Alabama, Brightspeed has had the opportunity to support local youth programs, nonprofits and other resources dedicated to enhancing its communities. The company’s recent efforts include:

  • A $20,000 sponsorship to support Southeast Health Foundation’s effort to certify Houston County as a designated “Heart Safe County” by conducting 20 CPR training sessions in organizations and businesses throughout the county
  • Naming rights of the National Peanut Festival’s Volunteer Building in support of its agricultural educational programs and events
