AFL Releases FY2024 Corporate Responsibility Report

SPARTANBURG, S.C. – October 14, 2025 | AFL, an industry-leading manufacturer of fiber optic cables, connectivity and equipment, today released its FY2024 Corporate Responsibility Report, showcasing significant progress across environmental, social and governance (ESG) initiatives. The report demonstrates AFL’s commitment to responsible business practices, sustainable operations and community investment.

“I’m incredibly proud of what our team achieved this year,” said Jaxon Lang, President and CEO. “We made meaningful progress on sustainability and achieved ISO 27001 certification, reinforcing that responsible leadership is at the heart of everything we do. That commitment extends to our communities through The AFL Foundation, which we established with a $10 million investment to create lasting, positive change and improve quality of life where our associates live and work.” 

Key achievements include:

  • Published first Environmental Product Declaration for Patch Cord Fiber Optic Cable products
  • Demonstrated strong corporate responsibility practices by earning the EcoVadis Bronze medal
  • Enrolled five facilities in green tariff programs, strengthening our renewable energy and decarbonization approach
  • Established The AFL Foundation with a $10 million commitment
  • Contributed over 2,500 volunteer hours during AFL’s UNITE Month of Service
  • Received the SCMA Plant Safety Award at five Spartanburg locations
  • Strengthened the foundation for ISO 27001 certification, subsequently achieved in June 2025
  • Implemented Responsible Procurement Policy to underscore ethical and sustainable sourcing practices
  • Earned 89% score on The Sustainability Project’s (TSP) Sustainability Practices Core questionnaire, demonstrating strong ESG performance
