LFT Fiber Hosts Successful “Powered By Connectivity” Summit at Vermilionville

LAFAYETTE, LA. — LFT Fiber hosted its 2nd Annual “Powered By Connectivity Summit” at Vermilionville on Thursday, March 19th, bringing together regional leaders, industry experts, and community stakeholders for a day of meaningful dialogue on how high-speed connectivity is shaping Acadiana’s future.

The summit featured conversations across multiple sectors, all centered on how fiber-powered infrastructure is enabling innovation, strengthening public services, preserving culture, and enhancing quality of life throughout the region. Summit speakers and attendees highlighted the importance of pairing technological advancement with human-centered leadership.

“Connectivity is about creating opportunity, advancing innovation, and empowering people,” said Michael D. During a public safety panel, Lafayette Parish 911 Executive Director Craig Stansbury underscored the impact of connected systems on emergency response.

“When we talk about connectivity today, we’re not just talking about faster networks or smarter devices—we’re talking about the ability to move from information to action…in seconds,” Stansbury said.
