Fybe Selected to Build Dedicated Fiber Network for Gates County Public Schools

[Edenton, N.C.] – Fybe (“the company”), a broadband internet service provider serving Northeastern North Carolina, has been selected to build and deploy a dedicated, high-capacity fiber network for Gates County Public Schools through the federal E-Rate program.

The contract was awarded through a competitive bidding process under the E-Rate program, which helps schools and libraries access affordable, high-speed broadband services. The project will connect all five campuses of Gates County Public Schools and the district administrative facilities through a dedicated fiber network designed to support the district’s growing technology needs.

“We are very happy with our new Wide Area Network that was installed by Fybe,” said John Smith, Director of Technology. “Everyone we have dealt with there, from the Sales, Engineering, and Installation teams, have been very knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly. The new network will provide reliable, symmetrical bandwidth to support digital learning initiatives, online assessments, district operations, and other technological resources that students, educators, and staff rely on every day.
