FBA Presents – Don’t Trip at the Starting Line: Mastering Permitting Hurdles in Fiber Optic Design
April 23 @ 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm

A successful project starts at the beginning not towards the end. Join FBA and CCI as they walk thru their experience and explanation as to why the first steps are the most important and critical steps into starting a project. With critical targets of timelines, revenue generating, and customer retention, CCI explains why it is so important to start strong and make sure you do not trip at the start line. Join us to hear how design and permitting give you the cornerstone building block to a successful project and how they complement each other throughout the entire project.
We plan to cover the complexities of fiber optic design and the critical role of permitting in ensuring project success. We will cover common challenges faced during the design phase, such as avoiding existing utility conflicts, governing agency pitfalls, and collaborating with pole owners for pole availability. We’ll emphasize the importance of incorporating permitting information early in the design process to prevent costly redesigns and delays.
Through real-world case studies, including experiences with broadband and telecom projects, we’ll highlight the significance of understanding permitting requirements. Our emphasis will also be on proactive collaboration with design departments highlighting how permitting and design can work in tandem to provide valuable insights and streamline the integration of permitting into fiber optic design.
We plan to discuss strategies to overcome permitting hurdles and share polling questions to gauge the audience experiences. We are interested in how attendees handle their own permitting and how many view permitting as a determining factor in project success.
