As the company builds its state-of-the-art fiber network across the Lone Star State, it’s strengthening communities through local sponsorships and investments

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — September 16, 2025 — Brightspeed, the nation’s third-largest fiber broadband builder, is expanding its reliable, high-speed fiber network now available to more than 157,000 Texas homes and businesses. Additionally, the company is investing more than $58,000 in local organizations, events and education programs – deepening its commitment to the communities it serves.

Investing in Communities Where We Live and Work

In Texas, Brightspeed has had the opportunity to support impactful local initiatives focused on education and community enrichment. The company’s recent efforts include:

  • Partnerships with Killeen, Copperas Cove and Humble Chambers of Commerce
  • A sponsorship of Humble Rodeo & BBQ Cook-Off benefiting Humble Independent School District Foundation scholarship fund
  • A donation to the Humble Independent School District Foundation scholarship fund
  • A partnership with Humble’s Chamber of Commerce to fund:
    • Monthly “Sip & Shop” event series
    • Monthly “Kids in the Park” event series
  • An annual partnership with Central Texas Theatre/Viva Les Arts
  • A partnership with Fort Cavazos Directorate of Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation (DFMWR) to revive the Belton Lake Outdoor Recreation Area (BLORA) Nature in Lights train experience
  • A sponsorship with the City of Killeen, to support downtown community events, including the Celebrate Killeen Festival
