Fiber Broadband Association’s Jennifer Vassil Named Among Cablefax’s Most Powerful Women Honorees
Vassil was recognized for strategic vision and community-centered leadership in expanding membership across North America.
WASHINGTON, D.C.—(December 5, 2025)—The Fiber Broadband Association (FBA) today announced Jennifer Vassil, Vice President of Membership, has been named among Cablefax’s 2025 Most Powerful Women in broadband, telecom, and media. This is the second consecutive year that an FBA staff member has been honored among Cablefax’s Most Powerful Women.
During Vassil’s five-year tenure with FBA, she has launched new programs and events that expanded member participation both in-person and virtually, strengthening ties across the broadband and telecom community. At FBA, she fosters authentic, consistent relationships with members and guides the Membership Team to blend emerging technology with openness, strategy, and genuine community partnerships, an approach that strengthens the vibrant broadband ecosystem she helps lead.
Driven by Vassil’s leadership, over the past 12 months, the FBA’s Membership Team has achieved record-breaking growth and engagement, reinforcing the Association’s role as the leading voice of the fiber broadband industry. Membership across North America grew by nearly 10% in 2025 alone and achieving the highest total in FBA’s history.
A standout achievement this year has been the surge in network operator participation and Tribal members, which now account for 45% of total membership. In addition to membership growth, Vassil and her team have focused on enhancing the overall member experience. Through improved communication, streamlined administrative processes, and more accessible educational and networking face platforms, it is easier than ever for companies to stay active and informed.
“Jennifer’s vision and commitment have made a profound impact on our members and on the future of fiber broadband. She leads with purpose, empathy, and a relentless drive to strengthen our community,” said Gary Bolton, President & CEO of the Fiber Broadband Association. “This continued momentum reflects both the team’s strategic focus on outreach and engagement and the industry’s growing recognition of FBA as the trusted hub for collaboration, education, and best practices in fiber broadband.”
Cablefax’s Most Powerful Women Awards celebrate women whose impact, creativity, and leadership are actively shaping the future of media and telecommunications. Last year, FBA’s Vice President of Research and Workforce Development Deborah Kish was honored for her work with the Association’s OpTIC Path™ optical telecom installer certification program.
