gaiia’s Nokia Integrations: Connecting Altiplano, AMS, and Corteca
gaiia’s Nokia Integrations: Connecting Altiplano, AMS, and Corteca
Today gaiia is excited to introduce a new suite of Nokia integrations. These integrations give ISPs a modern way to activate, modify, and troubleshoot Nokia access networks through one operational platform.
Whether an operator uses Nokia Altiplano, Nokia AMS, or Corteca, the experience inside gaiia is unified, automated, and fully configurable through our Workflow Builder. Teams can plug these integrations into their existing workflows and move from manual provisioning to streamlined operations in minutes.
This launch builds on our work with fast growing operators like IQ Fiber, one of the fastest growing fiber ISPs in the country. Their use of Nokia Altiplano with gaiia helped shape the standard integrations now available to all providers.
Nokia Altiplano Integration
Nokia Altiplano is a cloud native SDN platform used to manage and automate PON networks. gaiia integrates with Altiplano using REST APIs for real-time device data. The result is a fast, predictable activation experience tied directly into gaiia’s operational workflows.
Automated Provisioning and the Fab 5 Workflows
gaiia supports all major subscriber workflows and allows operators to automate them through Workflow Builder:
Activation: Auto discovery using the ONT serial, optional CVLAN allocation, and l2 user intent provisioning with mapped speed profiles
Suspension and Reactivation: Suspend or resume subscriber services with a single action
Speed Changes: Instant updates to speed profiles based on service tier
Deactivation: Clean removal of subscriber intents
ONT Visibility for Care Teams
Care teams can view ONT health inside the subscriber account, including optical levels, MAC address, uptime, and current status. This removes the need to switch between multiple systems for troubleshooting.
Nokia AMS Integration
Nokia AMS (Access Provisioning Center) is the traditional element management system for legacy Alcatel-Lucent access gear. Many ISPs still rely on AMS for FTTx and DSL operations.
The gaiia integration provides:
- Automated ONT provisioning for supported AMS based OLTs
- Speed profile changes for existing subscribers
- Standard suspension and reactivation workflows
- Unified ONT visibility inside gaiia for care teams
For ISPs modernizing legacy networks, AMS integration helps tie older access platforms into the same operational framework as newer PON deployments.
Nokia Corteca Integration
Nokia Corteca is Nokia’s cloud-native software suite for managing CPEs and optimizing the in-home broadband experience.
The gaiia integration focuses on:
- Unified subscriber and CPE visibility inside gaiia, including Wi-Fi performance and device health
- Workflow automation for service activation, in-home troubleshooting, modification, and deactivation
Corteca brings flexibility and openness to the CPE and in-home layer. gaiia brings orchestration, automation, and a complete operational platform that connects Corteca’s capabilities to subscriber management, care, and field operations.
A Modern Operational Layer for Nokia Powered Networks
Across Altiplano, AMS, and Corteca, the goal is the same. ISPs gain faster activations, fewer swivel chair workflows, and a complete operational system that connects the network to the subscriber experience.
gaiia turns Nokia’s access platforms into plug and play building blocks that operators can automate, customize, and scale. As Nokia expands its intent models and cloud native capabilities, we will continue extending these integrations to support more service types, deeper telemetry, and full operational automation.
If you are modernizing operations on a Nokia powered network, our team would be happy to walk you through what this new integration suite unlocks.
About gaiia
