Surf Internet Named to the Inc. 5000

ELKHART, Ind. (August 11, 2026) – Surf Internet® has been named to the Inc. 5000 for the first time, earning national recognition as one of America’s fastest-growing private companies following significant revenue growth and continued fiber-optic network expansion across Indiana, Illinois, and Michigan.

Published annually by Inc., the Inc. 5000 is the nation’s most prestigious ranking of the fastest-growing private companies. The list recognizes independent businesses that have demonstrated exceptional growth while driving innovation, creating jobs, and strengthening the economy. Past honorees include Microsoft, Meta, Chobani, Oracle, and Patagonia.

“This recognition belongs to our employees, who have worked tirelessly to build our network, serve our customers, and earn the trust of the communities we call home,” said Surf CEO Gene Crusie. “Being named to the Inc. 5000 is an exciting milestone, but it’s also a reminder that our work is far from finished.”

During the three-year period measured by Inc., Surf achieved 160% revenue growth while expanding its fiber-optic network and continuing to invest in the people and infrastructure needed to serve a growing customer base.

Over the same three-year period, Surf added 210 employees, growing its workforce by 175% across its offices in Elkhart and La Porte, Ind.; Byron Center and Fowlerville, Mich.; and Coal City, Naperville, and Rock Falls, Ill.

“Every company on the Inc. 5000 has a story of perseverance, smart decision making, and a refusal to sit still,” said Mike Hofman, editor-in-chief of Inc. “Their growth reflects more than strong financial performance—it reflects creativity, resilience, and the customer focus required to build companies that make a lasting impact. We congratulate all honorees on this significant achievement.”
