September 15, 2026 — Pape-Dawson has acquired BHC, a respected Midwest-based engineering and surveying firm with more than three decades of experience delivering telecommunications, engineering, and surveying services across the United States. The acquisition brings together two established firms while expanding the resources, technology, multidisciplinary expertise, and geography available to BHC clients nationally.
BHC Brings More Than Three Decades of Telecommunications Expertise
Founded in 1992 by Kevin Honomichl, Bill Brungardt, and Matt Brungardt, BHC began with a focus on the telecommunications industry and has supported the deployment of critical connectivity and data infrastructure across the nation for more than three decades.
Today, BHC’s telecom team delivers engineering and surveying services for telecommunications infrastructure at a national scale, with project experience spanning markets across the United States. The team has supported a diverse range of clients, from hyperscalers and national telecommunications providers to regional and rural broadband providers, helping deliver the infrastructure that connects communities, businesses, and data centers.
BHC’s experience spans the full project lifecycle, including route development and planning, surveying and mapping, GIS, LiDAR, civil and environmental permitting, right-of-way and easement support, utility coordination, cable landings, make-ready engineering, plan development, construction administration, and project delivery.
