FBA Official Statement Regarding the $1.25 Billion Digital Equity Act Competitive Grant Program – 7/24/24

“FBA applauds the Department of Commerce’s National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) on another significant step forward in connecting all Americans to fiber broadband. This morning, NTIA announced the availability of nearly $1 billion in funding to be used for digital equity programs. Equity cannot be achieved by infrastructure deployments alone; it also requires the tools and skills to make full use of the benefits of fiber connectivity. We encourage our membership and beyond to participate in this opportunity that will help close the digital divide once and for all.”
