Champions for Fiber Broadband

The Fiber Broadband Association is proud to recognize our Advocate Partners – organizations and leaders who stand beside us in advancing the deployment of all-fiber networks across North America. These advocates share our vision for a future where every community has access to fast, reliable, and future-ready broadband.

The Role of Our Advocate Partners

  • Expand Access – Supporting initiatives that ensure rural, remote, and tribal communities are not left behind in the digital economy.
  • Empower the Workforce – Promoting training, certification, and career opportunities that strengthen the broadband workforce.
  • Drive Innovation – Highlighting fiber as the foundation for smart communities, digital equity, AI, and the connected future.

The Imagination Library and the Fiber Broadband Association share a vision of building stronger, more connected communities. The Imagination Library mails a free, high-quality, age-appropriate book each month to children from birth to age five, fostering a love of reading and equipping them with the early literacy skills they need to succeed in school and in life. The Fiber Broadband Association focuses on delivering the infrastructure that connects homes, schools, and businesses to the digital world, creating pathways for learning, economic growth, and opportunity.

Through our working relationship, we address two critical needs simultaneously. We ensure children grow up in homes filled with books and stories, sparking curiosity and imagination. At the same time, we help communities access the high-speed broadband that supports modern education, careers, and daily life. This working relationship bridges both the literacy gap and the digital divide, giving every child the tools and opportunities to thrive in a rapidly changing world.
Fiber Broadband Association (FBA) and OATS/Senior Planet will collaborate to expand digital access and inclusion for older adults by pairing high-quality broadband connectivity with trusted education and engagement programs. Through this partnership, FBA member network operators will help connect senior centers—and potentially other community anchor institutions such as community centers and libraries—to free or significantly discounted fiber broadband service.

OATS/Senior Planet will provide access to its proven programs and services designed to help older adults use technology safely and confidently to connect with others, access telehealth resources, and participate more fully in their communities. Together, FBA members and OATS/Senior Planet will support aging Americans in reducing loneliness, improving health and well-being, and building stronger community ties through meaningful digital engagement.

For FBA members, the partnership represents a values-driven approach to community leadership by supporting anchor institutions that have lost eligibility for federal broadband funding programs such as BEAD. The initiative strengthens long-term relationships between providers and the communities they serve while creating measurable outcomes that can be shared with policymakers, media, and stakeholders at the federal, state, and local levels.
