Please explain why you consider yourself an excellent candidate for the Board of Directors of the Fiber Broadband Association. | I believe my extensive experience in the industry will benefit the FBA. Starting in the business over 35 years ago, I grew my original installation business from a startup to over 400 technicians, eventually selling the business to Dycom Industries in 2007. We specialized in installation, MDU and construction.
With the high demand for technicians over the next 5 years in the fiber industry, the FBA is in a great position to grow OpTIC Path training even more. Deb and Mark have done an outstanding job over the past year and I feel as a board member, I can assist in this unprecedented opportunity to grow the necessary workforce needed to support the fiber industry, especially as BEAD evolves. I have significant financial experience, both in owning my own company and now working for a publicly traded entity. I can add value to discussions centered around financial decisions by the FBA. I can contribute to topics that are relevant to current and future FBA members, including industry innovation, new technologies and market opportunities. Dycom has 38 subsidiaries and over 16,000 employees across all 50 states. My network of co-workers allows me to learn on a continuing basis as to our ever changing fiber industry. This will allow me to share industry knowledge with other board members. |
