The NTIAs Broadband Equity Accessibility and Deployment (BEAD) fund is providing $42.45B to help bring high speed internet to all Americans. With the required matching funds and expected overmatch the resulting total investment is estimated to be approximately $61B over the next 5 years.
BEAD funded networks challenge service providers with regulatory, permitting, compliance reporting, and Build America, Buy America requirements.
During this webinar we will explore the following topics:
- BEAD funding overview and high-level requirements.
- Fiber Network design and cabling options for FTTH, Fixed Wireless, and Middle Mile.
- Strengths and limitations of fiber network design and cabling options including centralized splitting, distributed splitting, and distributed tap to meet current and future service provider needs.
- Designing to include BEAD requirements, future growth, applications such as AI, and dark fiber.
