 Fybe Give Back to Bertie County Community on Volunteer Day

[Edenton, N.C.] – Fybe, a broadband service provider and a subsidiary of Roanoke Cooperative, proudly served the Good Shepherd Food Pantry during its most recent “We Care Day” on Wednesday, March 12, 2025.

The Fybe team assisted in drive-thru food distribution and box packaging, working with the food pantry’s safety committee to ensure all items delivered are the highest quality. Fybe also made a donation to the organization that will continue to support the pantry’s weekend backpack program, which has served approximately 7,000 households since 2008.

“When we come together to help others, we strengthen our communities and create a ripple effect of kindness that lasts far beyond a single act of service,” said Bo Coughlin, COO. “It is our hope that we can continue to serve those in need and support the local organizations that make it happen.”

The Good Shepherd Food Pantry began operating in 2008 and is now able to serve over 800 families per month with fresh meat, produce and other items thanks to the support it receives from the Food Bank of the Albemarle, Perdue and local grocers. Over 7,000 households have been served since 2008. All Bertie residents are eligible to receive food boxes, and the pantry also works closely with seniors and the public school system to assist those most in need.
